Storyboarding, Animatics, Rough Animation
I have my animation roots in Post-it Note flipbooks, heavily inspired by early Newgrounds/YouTube animations (stick figure fights) and various anime and cartoons. Using my self-insert comic strip character pitted against an evil demon creature, this project was mostly an exercise in fight choreography and rough animation/storyboarding.
Using a character from a successful run of the roguelike dungeon crawler "Stone Soup" I crafted a character sheet and rough animation. Goldrug the Barachi Fighter (frog man) fights off a slew of ogres, trolls, and golems.
